According to John Ugbe, the Managing Director of MultiChoice, the parent production company of the popular reality show Big Brother Naija, the Shine Ya Eye season had the most votes in the show’s history.
He made the announcement on Monday, October 4, during a media briefing and the presentation of prize money to Whitemoney, a 29-year-old businessman who won the sixth season of the show.
According to him, the show received over one billion votes through its various voting platforms. He went on to say that in the final week alone, they received over 300 million votes.
John Ugbe also revealed that they spent N4.3 billion in producing the show.
