A young Romanian woman, 23 years old, could enter the Guinness World Records: she is the youngest grandmother in the world, thanks to her daughter who became a mother at 12 years old…
The youngest grandmother in the world is called Rifca Stanescu, a Romanian woman of only 23 years
At the age of 23, most women are not even ready to think about having children, let alone grandchildren, but this was not the case for Rifca Stanescu.
It is a Romanian woman who holds the record. Rifca Stanescu had her daughter when she was 12 years old. Her daughter followed her example. In her turn, she became a mother at 11 years old. Rifca is therefore a very young grandmother of 23 years, at an age when many women do not have children yet!
She could make it into the Guinness Book as the world’s youngest grandmother, at only 23 years old.
According to the British tabloid “The Sun”, Romanian Rifca Stanescu had her first child at the age of 12, a baby girl she named Maria. Despite her mother’s advice not to follow her example, Maria started a family at 11, giving birth to a son, Lon. Her grandmother Rifca was only 23 years old.
It’s not official yet, but Rifca Stanescu’s mother could also hold a record: the youngest great-grandmother at the age of 40.
Rifca says she is happy to be a grandmother, even if she had hoped for more for her daughter Maria.
