The online fans and family have shown their reaction towards Peter Ostrom’s teeth during Charlie Bucket from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
Who is Peter Ostrom?
Peter Gardner Ostrom is a veterinarian and former child actor from the United States. In the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, he played Charlie Bucket.
He was born on November 1, 1957, in Dallas, Texas, to Dean Gardner Ostrom (1922-2014) and Sarepta Mabel (née Pierpont; born 1922).
Peter is the fourth and youngest of four children. Ostrom was twelve years old when he moved to Cleveland, where he was described as a native by MSNBC, and later attended North Hunterdon Regional High School in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

What Exactly is Wrong with Peter Ostrom’s Teeth?
If you were to look closely at Peter Ostrom’s teeth in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, you’ll notice that his front teeth are quite developed, but his back teeth are underdeveloped.
In addition, he has shart-like small teeth on the upper left side of his teeth. Peter Ostrom and Violet Beauregard, who played the spoilt gum-chewing brat, both had tooth problems.
Nickerson claims that forty years after she inflated like a blueberry in front of our eyes, she had 13 cavities in her teeth as a result of all the gum she was forced to eat.
Peter Ostrom’s charlie bucket tooth is now all fixed. However, he hasn’t revealed if it were through surgery, or it was naturally fixed.
Similarly, he has now worked in Lowville, New York as a veterinarian at the countryside Veterinary Clinic as a managing partner with Dairy Health & Management services since August 2019.
Peter Ostrom’s Journey as an Actor cum Doctor
When talent agents chose Peter Ostrum for Willy Wonka, he was 12 years old.
Though he enjoyed the experience of filming, he chose not to sign a three-film contract when it was completed. Ostrum became hesitant to discuss his one-starring role after eschewing a career in film and theater.

He began an annual tradition of speaking to schoolchildren about the film in 1990. He resurfaced as a topic of discussion when the 2005 film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was released in theaters.
When Ostrom returned from filming Willy Wonka, he became interested in his family’s horses and was particularly influenced by the veterinarian who cared for them.
In 1984, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Ostrom practiced and lived in Lowville, New York, with his wife Loretta (née Lepkowski) and two children as of 2005.
Conclusion
Peter Ostrom was said to have quit acting because he fell in love with another job. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) was informed by Ostrom that acting is not the “glamorous profession” that many people believe it to be. It is, in fact, a “difficult career.”
When the film’s production was finished, the studio was ready to offer the boy a three-movie deal, but he declined. When Ostrom returned home from the set, he discovered that his parents had bought a horse for the family, and he enjoyed watching the veterinarian work on the animal.
Ostrom worked as a veterinarian at the Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Lowville, New York (mostly with horses and cows) and as a managing partner with Dairy Health & Management Services as of August 2019. Ostrum also took part in Veterinarians on Call, a Pfizer-sponsored film series that showcases the work of large animal veterinarians.
